Cherry the Dog needs a home

Meet Lovable Cherry
Cherry, spayed female, 6 months old, 19 Lbs

I love dogs. And most of my dogs were rescued from streets. Somehow there are too many in my neighborhood that I can’t take all of them home. I started to feed these stays on regular basis. Pretty soon they know when to come for feast. That makes me very happy. One late night as usual, I went to the particular spot to feed the dogs. From a distance, I saw three tiny little puppies playing under a big truck. They were very new to me because I have never seen them before. When I slowly walked approaching to these pups, they weren’t scared of me, instead, they all came out to welcome my presence. Before all the big dogs came for food, I fed them well and walked away to feet others. Since then, these puppies showed up every night that made me very worry their safety. On the 7th night, I decided to take all of them home to foster and tried to find them good homes.
Luckily, one of the pups was adopted by a very nice family. Since then, there wasn’t any phone call to check on Winnie and Cherry. I knew it was tough just because they were not pure bred and not looked astonished to catch adopter’s eyes. However, they were born with very sweet natures and cuddly. I believed their destined families must be somewhere waiting for them, but I just didn’t know how to approach.

One day when I took Cherry and her sibling to an animal hospital for vaccination, I met AHAN’s Taiwan Representative, Jessamy. She listened to my rescue story and gave these two pups a behavior evaluation immediately. And the result showed positively to bring up my hope again. Under AHAN’s guidance, Cherry is well trained. She learned to sit and wait, housebroken outside. She gets along very well with my big and small dogs at home. She is also easily to make friends with new dogs. However, she is very nervous to meet cats. If a cat comes to her aggressively, she will growl to warn the cat to back off. Cherry enjoys going out to parks. She might be a little shy to meet strangers but warms out in minutes. If a young child or a stranger imitatively come approaching her with sudden pets, she will be a little nervous but still accepts pets. Cherry is a very sweet girl. She hardly barks. Normally she is like an angel to stay quietly with other foster siblings.  She is never a trouble maker to make other dogs unhappy. Now Cherry is ready to find a home to call her own. She has a clean bill of health. With her current size, she might grow up to a 40-45 lbs adult dog.
